Felipe Fernández specializes in corporate and financing transactions and restructurings. He has represented clients in mergers, acquisitions and dispositions. Mr. Fernandez has also represented investment banks, commercial banks, sofomes and other financial institutions, as lenders; and corporations and investment vehicles, as borrowers and debt issuers, in connection with syndicated and bilateral loans, structured financings, project financings, acquisition financings, real estate financings, bridge loans, financings to financial entities, debt offerings and restructurings and workouts.

  • Axtel, in its merger with Alestra, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alfa.

  • BBVA Bancomer and Banorte, as joint lead arrangers of a senior secured facility to Grupo Senda.

  • Dimex Capital, in a securitization of credit rights placed in the Mexican Stock Exchange.

  • Banorte, in a dual currency financing to investment vehicles of FINSA, used for the management and development of industrial parks.

  • Altum Capital, in structured financings to various financial entities, including ConCrédito, CrediAmigo, FinReal and Flux Financiera.

  • Banamex, in the refinancing of a real estate facility granted to Corporación Geo; in the refinancing of credit facilities granted to Grupo Evya, a major supplier of Pemex, and the subsequent assignment of credit rights to an investor, and in the refinancing of a real estate facility granted to Desarrolladora Homex and the subsequent assignment of credit rights to an investor.

  • Banorte, in a refinancing of a structured facility granted to Stiva, for the management and development of shopping centers.

  • Grupo Senda, in the issuance of certificados bursátiles in the Mexican Stock Exchange.

  • MATC Digital, a subsidiary of American Tower Corporation, in a senior facility to finance the acquisition of telecommunication sites.

  • Fibra Mty, in a credit facility granted by Sabadell, secured with an office building and lease rights.

  • Banorte, in a project financing to a subsidiary of Maiz Edificaciones, for the construction of a governmental building in the State of Nuevo León.

  • Banca Afirme, as lead arranger of a syndicated facility to a subsidiary of Grupo Industrial Monclova.

  • Banorte, in a structured financing to Acosta Verde for the development of a shopping center.

  • Altum Capital, in real estate financings to ProVive and Axxiona tu Patrimonio.
