Luis A. García Campuzano specializes in corporate matters and
M&A transactions, with an emphasis in corporate governance,
compliance, and anticorruption. Luis has advised Mexican and
foreign companies on corporate governance matters and the
design and implementation of their ethics and compliance
programs and has worked with civil and business organizations
on anticorruption laws and best practices. Luis also has broad
experience negotiating and structuring M&A transactions,
private equity deals, and commercial agreements.

compliance systems of PEMEX and CFE.

international M&A transactions, including in Mexico, USA,
Colombia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Costa Rica
and the UK, among others.
• Axtel, in its merger with Alestra.
• Sandvik AB, in its purchase of QUIMMCO’s precision
cutting tool business.
• AC Ventures, the corporate venture capital unit of Arca
Continental, in several strategic investment transactions.
• Heineken Mexico, in its acquisition of a strategic interest in
a craft brewery business, and in its sale of an ice
manufacturing and distribution subsidiary.
• Contour Global Mexico, in a joint venture with a major
energy company to develop and operate CO2 processing
facilities, as well as in several corporate and commercial
matters.
• CEMEX, in multiple financing and capital markets
transactions, including negotiating and documenting private
and public securities offerings, and compliance with
securities laws (including the Mexican Comisión Nacional
Bancaria y de Valores and the US Securities and Exchange
